Summary

This position will be assigned to the Fund Administration on Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.

The position is a regular part time position, which means you are eligible for benefits and guaranteed to work at least 20 hours per week. Employees will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, lodging, and other activities.

Duties

  • Assists applicants and managers with accurate completion of all required employment and personnel paperwork.
  • Forwards requests to fill vacancies to AFRC HRO for qualifying and in-processing.
  • Conducts orientation for new employees on insurance benefits, health and life insurance, 40IK and other programs applicable to NAF employees.
  • Ensures all necessary paperwork for new employees are completed accurately and timely and submitted to AFRC HRO within two (2) days after Entrance on Duty.
  • Ensures all required security clearances are requested, completed and forwarded timely to the required designated official.
  • Receives all personnel action requests and forwards to AFRC HRO in a timely manner.
  • Acts as a liaison by providing information from AFRC HRO to supervisors and employees on such matters as pay actions, benefits and personnel actions.
  • Ensures all guidance from AFRC HRO is kept updated and distributed to activity managers as needed. Forwards all updates to official personnel records to AFRC HRO (e.g. new address, change in benefits forms, etc).
  • Checks for the presence, completion, and accuracy of all necessary documents and contacts appropriate sources to obtain missing data or documents.
  • Assist managers with timesheets in SETS. Review and approve manager's timesheets. Review timesheets, open/create timesheets, edit, approve, and un-submit/reject all employee's timesheets.
  • Participates in planning and conducting the local NAF wage survey IAW regulatory guidance.
  • May serve as Chairman/Co-Chairman of NAF Locality Wage Survey Committee.
  • Ensures workers' compensation paperwork is processed within the established timeframe and forwards all paperwork to AFRC HRO.
  • Serves as the backup NAF Contracting Officer for all functional areas within the Services Flight.
  • Responsible for submitting and administering NAF contracts and BPA's IAW current Air Force Procedures.
  • Uses NAF contracting warrant to purchase various supplies and services or forwards purchase request to the base contracting office. Receives and processes AF Form 9, Request for Purchase and /or AF 2209 as required.
  • Serves as the backup for monitoring P-Card purchases and approving monthly P-Card statements. Performs quarterly surprise cash counts on all activities.
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties such as typing, filing, greeting guests, and maintaining appointments for the Division Chief.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, makes tentative appointments for supervisor, and arranges staff meetings, as required.
  • Compiles and maintain files.
  • Files and processes various documents relating to the substantive program of the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
  • Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the pay band level of the position.
  • Typing skills are required. Prior knowledge of NAF business practices and basic contracting techniques is desirable.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain a NAF Warrant.
  • Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel) is desirable.
  • Experience that required the applicant to acquire and apply knowledge of the rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements of one or more areas of a personnel system is desirable.
  • Must possess skill in dealing with the public.
