Join Our Team as an Ophthalmology Surgeon at Salisbury VA Medical Center

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmology Surgeon to join our team at the Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. As an Ophthalmology Surgeon, you will leverage your advanced training and experience to diagnose and treat a broad range of eye disorders, while playing a critical role in the overall Surgery Service Line.

Your Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat various eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and vision problems.
  • Link eye conditions to other systemic disorders like brain tumors or diabetes when applicable.
  • Perform surgeries to repair injuries, correct deformities, and enhance patient health.
  • Function within an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive surgical and clinical services.
  • Ensure compliance with the Department of Surgery/Ophthalmology's established policies.

What We’re Looking For

Basic Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship or appropriate legal documentation.
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license.
  • Completed residency in an appropriate core specialty training program.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Experience: Skills in basic Retina, including Intraocular Injections.
