Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
WG-08 Ordnance Equipment WorkerMinimum Qualifications: (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic without more than normal supervision to include test equipment maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair, and perform the duties of inspecting, assembly, installation of missile systems and the use of hand and power tools.- Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
WG-10 Ordnance Equipment MechanicMinimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic without more than normal supervision. - Decan, disassemble, and reassemble electronic missile systems - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
- Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision
- There is frequent standing, bending, and working in tiring positions, although there is occasional sitting down at work benches. It is required to lift, push, or pull a variety of times weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally some above that weight.
- May work in an environmentally controlled area or in areas that are lighted, heated, and ventilated. Subject to high frequency noise, cuts, bruises, and burns or shocks caused by high voltage energy. Some outside work may also be involved.
