Orthopedic Surgeon - Total Joint Specialist
The Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon with a specialized focus on Total Joint Replacement and Revisions. Join us in making a difference in Veterans' lives while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Role Overview
This role falls under the Surgery Service Line, specifically within the Orthopedic service overseen by the Section Chief of Orthopedics. We are looking for a committed full-time physician to take part in developing and enhancing our outpatient and revision total joint programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions.
- Manage indirect aspects of patient care such as documentation and clinic productivity oversight.
- Take part in quality and patient safety oversight and process improvements.
- Provide compassionate and effective patient care, from health promotion to end-of-life care.
- Engage in continuous professional development and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Train and mentor Residents within the facility.
- Maintain proficiency in clinical duties and stay current with medical knowledge.
What You Need
- Board Certification and Fellowship training in Total Joint Replacement and Revisions.
- Experience in developing outpatient and revision joint programs.
- U.S. Citizenship or eligible non-citizen.
- Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- Full, unrestricted license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.
- Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty leading to board certification.
- Proficiency in English language (spoken and written).
