The United States Space Force (USSF) at Patrick SFB/Cape Canaveral SFS, Florida is searching for a PEO Administrative Officer to support AATS (NH-0301-03, GS-12/13 equivalent).

Ideal Candidate:
Background should include performing extensive staff work, perhaps a former wing or higher-level Executive Officer, DAG/CAG experience. Exceptional organizational skills & ability to establish rapport and lasting/effective work relationships. The candidate should have a proven track record of being a SME in Executive support.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Task Management & Prioritization: Advanced knowledge of task management principles, including prioritization techniques, delegation strategies, and workflow optimization. Able to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines. Comprehensive understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and processes for the Department of the Air Force (both US Air Force and US Space Force).
2. Communication & Coordination: Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate information to diverse audiences. Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Strategic Communications Planning: Strong understanding of strategic communication principles and best practices. Able to develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that align with organizational goals and resonate with target audiences. Proficient in crafting clear, concise, and impactful messaging.
4. Relationship Management & Networking: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, external organizations, and media contacts. Skilled in representing the organization professionally and effectively in various settings.
5. Contract Management & Oversight: Comprehensive knowledge of contract management principles, regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS), and best practices. Proven ability to monitor contractor performance, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
6. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information. Proficient in identifying problems, developing creative solutions, and making sound recommendations to senior leadership.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- PCS / Relocation funding is not authorized.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- The candidate must be certified as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of appointment.
