Conditions of employment
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.
- Position is subject to the provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- Must be board-certified in a Primary Care Specialty (Aerospace Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine).
- Board certification in a Primary Care Specialty is desired (Aerospace Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine).
- Physicians License required.
- Must maintain current state licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or other named specialties.
- This position is subject to Random Drug Testing.
- Must possess knowledge of Dodi 6130.03, March 30, 2018 Medical standards for Appointment, Enlistment, or Induction into the Military services.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain privileging for the DOD/AFMS/ANGMS IAW DHA PM 6025-13 Vol 4 and DAFMAN 44-119.
- Must maintain credentials requirements at all times (i.e. current and unrestricted state license, BLS, clinical competencies, etc.) IAW DHA PM 6025-13 Vol 4 and DAFMAN 44-119.
- Appointments of retired members of the Armed Forces as National Guard employees within 180 days of retirement requires a waiver approved by the Adjutant General of Missouri before an effective date can be established.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- Advanced in hire rate may be granted to set pay above the minimum rate of the grade for a new employee if he/she possesses superior qualifications relevant to the positions' requirements and is essential to accomplish the agency's mission.
- Creditable Service for Annual Leave accrual may be granted to new employees if he/she possesses superior qualifications essential to the position; and which were acquired through performance in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position.
- The duties performed in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position must directly relate to the position to which appointed and such qualifications are necessary to achieve an important agency mission or performance goal to be eligible.
- Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Qualifications
GP-14 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least four years of residency training in the specialty of the position to be filled or possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service designing, implementing and evaluating medical activities related to public health programs. Examples of specialized experience would typically include but are not limited to: administering comprehensive medical and physical assessments and preventative medical services; applying professional and clinical medical knowledge, practices, principles, and theories; performing comprehensive medical assessments.
Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. (Copy of current, active, full and unrestricted license as a Physician MUST be uploaded electronically with application).

Education
Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degreemust have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of AmericanMedical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the AmericanOsteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. (Copies of Official transcripts MUST be uploaded electronically with application.)
OR
Degree from Foreign Medical School: A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.(Copies of Official transcripts MUST be uploaded electronically with application.)
Graduate Training:
Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.(Copies of proof of successful completion of an accredited graduate training internship, fellowship, or residency program MUST be uploaded electronically with application)
NOTE: Graduate training programs include only those internship, residency, and fellowship programs that are approved by accrediting bodies recognized within the United States or Canada.

The certification should also include when your terminal leave will begin, your rank and dates of active-duty service.
