Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Using experience to receive/disseminate/update schedules and schedule changes for vessel movement and traffic in/out of the naval installation (i.e. tugs, dive boats, workboats, security boats, barges, floating cranes, and naval vessels;
2) Determining operating schedules and pier assignments, opening and closing of Port Security Barrier, and setting oil boom;
3) Calculating and recommending optimum ship arrival or departure times based on tide and current conditions;
4) Using navigational tools to identify vessel locations and plot vessel movements on coastal navigational charts; and
5) Relaying information to vessels, such as transit times, distances, and conditions;
6) Providing continuous radio support for harbor and maintaining harbor movement logs.
