Duties
***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POISITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP***
This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG), Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Vehicle Fleet Manager for host and subordinate units; ensuring the efficient and effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment (i.e., refueling vehicles, fire trucks, materiel handling equipment, de-icing, snow removal, aircraft towing, tactical, construction equipment, and DOMOPS vehicles). Incumbent performs preliminary planning, long term scheduling, managing maintenance production, and conducting analysis. Analyzes and reviews reports and statistical data from subordinate functions and other sources for the purpose of evaluating overall maintenance program status or identifying exception, trend, or problems areas.
Serves as the program manager for the fleet custodial account, vehicle authorization and utilization programs. Prepares and defends base level submission for central appropriated fund procurement of motor vehicles and other budgetary accounts.
Determines, coordinates and ensures timely development of weekly, monthly, and yearly operational and maintenance plans for assigned general and special purpose vehicles and a variety of equipment. Projects parts, contract services, funds, and personnel required.
Manages, formulates and performs analytical data reviews on a wide range of production indicators to assist in improving productivity or in determining causes of production delays. Serves as the primary vehicle account custodian, ensuring accuracy within the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and other automated processing systems.
Performs Materiel Control functions. Manages delayed parts, bench stock and working stock; Initiates, monitors and follows up on part requests.
Manages Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) program. Takes action to order and follow up on needed parts kits for each TCTO. Plans and schedules TCTO accomplishments within requirements.
Participates as OJT Instructor in the Vehicle Management area. Conducts instructional classes on methods and procedures of operation and fleet management. Evaluates effectiveness of instruction, documents and maintains individual /section training and qualification records.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Experience, education or training scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility. Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
