Qualifications
The incumbent must possess comprehensive knowledge of JADO and the principles of joint, interagency, and multinational operations across all domains: land, sea, subsurface, air, space, and cyberspace. A thorough understanding of PME at the graduate level, including instructional design, curriculum development, and the integration of emerging trends in military operations, is essential. The position requires advanced research and analytical skills to conduct original research, develop innovative academic programs, and publish scholarly works. Familiarity with the mission, structure, and functions of EDCOM, MCU, and DoD is critical, as is the ability to mentor and guide students in complex and dynamic environments. Strong communication skills are necessary to teach, collaborate with faculty, and engage with external stakeholders.
Required qualifications include an earned master's degree from an institution accredited by a Department of Education recognized institutional accrediting agency.
Other qualifications that will make candidates especially competitive include: an advanced degree in one or more of the following areas: National Security, Strategic Studies, International Affairs, International Relations, or a related field; graduation from a U.S. military senior-level Service College with JPME-II certification; relevant and proven expertise in joint operational level warfare demonstrated experience working in the national security and defense environments.
An earned Ph.D. in one of the academic fields noted above, military Service College teaching experience, Joint Service Officer (JSO) qualification, experience developing plans and conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific, experience planning and executing fires, effects, and/or air operations in close coordination with multiple components, services, and through multiple domains, and experience advancing novel concepts, informed but not bounded by current doctrine.
This opening will be filled under Title 10 Excepted Service, Professor of Practice, AD-07, salary range: $137,248 - $167, 532, which includes the current Local Market Supplement of 33.94%. Pay and title will be set commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and MCU pay setting.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
