Summary

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the OPERATION DEPARTMENT in the NUCLEAR PRODUCTION MANAGER DIVISION of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

  • You will serve as a manager with responsibility for overall program management (planning, scheduling, monitoring, tracking and assessing the training program and performance) of designated Radiological Emergency Response Organization (RERO) Program.
  • You will provide technical and administrative support to the RCRM and acts as the RCRM during their absence.
  • You will develop policies and procedures to carry out training and assessment of Radiological Emergency Response objectives, particularly when procedures require innovation or updates in response to guideline changes.
  • You will obtain the necessary data to assess the effectiveness of the emergency management program and prepare, issue plans of actions and milestones, and self- assessment reports on assigned areas of responsibility.
  • You will make recommendations to management concerning improvement of operations procedures and emergency management and radiological casualty procedures.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience providing analytical and evaluation methods and skill in applying a wide range of methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information concerning personnel and related processes, draw conclusions, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Experience performing a range of analytical studies and projects related to workplace programs.
- Experience developing metrics to track progress in attaining goals and objectives.
- Experience providing statistical evaluation, analysis, and recommendations based on the results of outreach events.
- Experience conducting management programs by developing improvement studies, gathering facts, collecting sample data, and compiling information obtained of review by higher-level management.
