In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
Experience in IT Program Management which includes planning, scheduling, and executing major projects or programs, modern IT acquisition/procurement strategy development, program reviews, and overseeing tasks within an IT project management program.
Program Management Advanced: Selectee must have their Program Management Advanced Certification (or be eligible for certification within 48 months of appointment) in the DAWIA Program Management Functional Area. Acquisition workforce employees must achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66. Obtaining certification within the allotted grace period and maintaining CLPs before and after achieving certification are conditions of employment. If certification is not received within 48 months of appointment as defined by DAWIA, and training not completed within the established guidelines, the incumbent might be removed from this position. Program/Project Management Certifications including, but not limited to, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Federal Acquisitions Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM), or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) are highly desired.
