In order to qualify for the GS-11 level of this position, you must meet one of the following qualification requirements:
A. Possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include performing the following types of duties: examining and processing a variety of legal documents; conducting research, analysis, and evaluation of data in response to requests; independently drafting legal documents and correspondence; using automated legal research tools and public information databases to research case-specific legal matters; managing discovery; assisting in the presentation of evidence in court; and using automated litigation support technology to organize case information for retrieval, prepare computerized trial presentations, and index digital evidence.
B. Possess an LL.M. degree; or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field; OR three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in law, criminal justice, public administration, or a closely related field that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
C. A combination of specialized experience as described in A and graduate-level education as described in B which when combined equal 100% of the requirements. (Only graduate education in excess of 2 full years is creditable).
Selective Placement Factor: A selective placement factor is determined to be essential for successful performance in this position. Those candidates who do not meet the following selective placement factor will be rated "not qualified" for the position.
Applicants must have experience working on in rem property actions or state or federal actions involving property liens, such as quiet title, interpleaders of excess funds, lien reformation, foreclosure, non-judicial foreclosure and condemnation actions.
