Basic Requirements:
- United States Citizenship: Must be Citizen of the United States.
- English Language Proficiency: Pharmacists must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), and 7407(d).
- Education: Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- Licensure: Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (i.e., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
Experience. In addition to the basic requirements, you must have 1 year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13).

Assignments: Responsible for the management of national or VISN level programs. These programs include collaboration with other Federal agencies (e.g., National Institutes of Health, Public Health Service, Department of Defense, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control, etc.) or organizations outside the Federal health care system. Programs of this magnitude are directed by VA Central Office or a VISN.
Preferred Experience: Must be a licensed Pharmacist (Pharm.D.) with prior Pain Management Opioid Safety and Prescription Drug Monitoring (PMOP) experience. Program Management experience also preferred.

Physical Requirements: Physical aspects associated with work required of this assignment are typical of the occupation. May be required to wear personal protective equipment to undergo annual TB screening or testing as conditions of employment. The incumbent must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical to include moderate lifting (15-44 pounds), light carrying 15 lbs or less, straight pulling, reaching above the shoulder with the use of both hands and fingers, ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of colors, which is required for this position.
The position requires occasional to frequent travel away from the duty station to provide care to Veterans at other VAMCs, Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), or other sites as appropriate to patient care or training needs. If providing locums-type services, the position may require travel for extended periods to another VA Facility, CBOC or other site as appropriate to patient care.
