As the Team Lead under broad administrative direction of GEOINT Support Branch Chief, U.S. Army Geospatial Center (AGC) you will provide overall objectives and broad aspects of work assignments and guidance relative to policies, priorities, and budgetary matters

Duties

  • Team Lead for the Army Geospatial Data Fabric Team for Branch programs
  • Perform method and/or applications development and data and system integration, as well as software prototyping for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software
  • Lead the development, direction, coordination, and evaluation of system requirements, program planning, and financial management functions for PM IS and A
  • Assist with implementing the Standard Sharable Geospatial Foundation (SSGF) in PM IS and A to support the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE)
  • Make authoritative recommendations which have important impact on development and geospatial integration program policies concerning enterprise approaches for analysis, display and dissemination of spatial data to support Army Acquistions

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirement for Physical Scientist:

A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.

OR

B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to one of the majors, as shown in A above, that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level which includes work in Army Acquisition Process to compete, procure, and field state of the art GEOINT systems 2) experience with managing GEOINT (geospatial and imagery) data across communication links including NIPR, SIPR, JWICS 3) experience with presenting complex GEOINT information to senior leaders and 4) Experience with military GEOINT (engineer and intel) organizations and operations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Education
