About the Role

We are looking for dedicated individuals to serve as Police Officers with the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM). In this vital role, you will be exercising exclusive law enforcement jurisdiction on Army installations, focusing on the protection of people and property. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in maintaining peace and order on military installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce Federal criminal laws and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
  • Patrol Army installations by vehicle or on foot.
  • Apprehend or detain individuals suspected of offenses.
  • Protect government property and materials against theft, damage, and espionage.
  • Collect and preserve evidence and protect witnesses and victims.
  • Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
  • Completion of pre-employment and annual physical examinations.
  • Subject to drug screening and random testing.
  • Availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License and be proficient with firearms.
  • Completion of the US Army Civilian Police Academy program is required within 12 months.
  • Qualifications

    We accept applications on an ongoing basis, reviewed bi-weekly as positions arise. Potential candidates must be U.S. citizens and meet the following qualifications:

    For GS-5 Level

  • One year of specialized experience OR a relevant bachelor's degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice, or equivalent.
  • Combining education and experience is also permissible.
  • For GS-6 and GS-7 Levels

  • GS-6: One year of specialized experience with experience in maintaining order and protecting life and property.
  • GS-7: One year of investigative experience in law enforcement and evidence collection.
