The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton OH is searching for a Principal Intelligence Analyst to support NSIC (GG-0801-14).
Description:
The Modelling & Simulation flight is seeking a Principal Intelligence Analyst (PIA) to lead space/counterspace Threat Modeling and Analysis Program (TMAP), Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) or model-based systems engineering (MBSE) model development and simulation environment integration. The selectee will team with the flight's existing PIAs to manage production, engage with customers, review models, and mentor and develop the flight's analysts. The team this PIA position will lead will be determined by the candidate's experience.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position has knowledge of emerging threat systems, capabilities, and technologies; software development and modeling & simulation (M&S); all-source scientific and technical intelligence (S&TI) analysis; technical project management, and associated production processes/policies to perform the engineering design, analysis and M&S of Space/Counterspace threat systems. The ideal candidate has experience managing/executing budgets and managing contractor support. Additionally, the candidate possesses the ability to collaborate and effectively work within a group setting, maintain effective working relationships with a variety of technical representatives, peers, and government contractors; and skill in presenting technical findings and evaluations clearly, logically and concisely in a variety of verbal, written and graphical formats.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Professional knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering (such as electronic, electrical, computer, aerospace, or mechanical disciplines, mathematics, computer science, or closely related fields) concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures to effectively apply engineering theories, principles, and concepts to new threat analysis applications and software developments.
2. Professional knowledge of emerging threat systems, capabilities, and technologies; software development and modeling & simulation (M&S); all-source scientific and technical intelligence (S&TI) analysis; technical project management, and associated production processes/policies to perform the engineering design, analysis and M&S across Air, Land, and Space/Counterspace threat systems.
3. Expanded knowledge of the mission, role, function, organizational structure, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and Intelligence Community; and their communication and information infrastructures and organizations.
4. Skill and ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning task progress and effectively communicate, including the presentation of technical problems and results in a logical and concise manner; skill and ability to apply practical thinking skills, attention to detail, balanced decision making, conceptual thinking, consistency, goal directedness, problem and situation analysis, reliability, and theoretical problem solving, emotional control, handling stress, initiative, job ethics, meeting standards, listening skills, personal accountability, commitment, and drive.
5. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy; and ability to plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers and peers.
6. Ability to collaborate and effectively work within a group setting, maintain effective working relationships with a variety of technical representatives, peers, and government contractors; and skill in presenting technical findings and evaluations clearly, logically and concisely in a variety of verbal, written and graphical formats.
