About the Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Technician to support the Fleet and Family Readiness Support Services Office in Hawaii. This role involves handling various procurement administrative tasks, particularly focusing on Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) rules and regulations. You will be the central point for managing contractual correspondence within our contracting section.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the NAF Purchase Card Agency Program Coordinator, ensuring program integrity and compliance.
- Establish and manage internal controls for the NAF Purchase Card Program, including training officials and cardholders.
- Assist in the solicitation, award, and contract administration processes.
- Sanitize proposals, prepare documents for review, and coordinate meetings.
- Maintain electronic and physical procurement files and update contract status spreadsheets.
- Download and assign purchase requests for procurement actions.
- Handle contracting correspondence, policy distribution, and Freedom of Information Act requests.
- Participate in and report on meetings, and prepare data-driven reports and briefings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Knowledge of NAF Procurement policies and NAF Purchase Card procedures is essential.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are a must.
- Proficiency in using computers and software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating and preparing reports.
- Must complete necessary procurement and purchase card program training within 3 months of hire.

- Existing employment with Navy Region Hawaii NAF is mandatory.
