Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:
Education:
GL-05: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree.
GL-07: One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.
OR
Experience:
GL-05: General experience. You must have at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GL-04.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
- Experience with the ability to identify deficiencies and formulate solutions; maintain accountability of equipment, tools, or other controlled items.
- Experience gained while performing procurement and administrative support functions, while working in an office or warehouse environment.
- Experience with the skills to develop and create reports to validate accountability of inventory data. This experience may be gained in various professional, administrative, technical, or investigative positions.
- Experience gained in tracking incoming transactions (vouchers, bill ladings, contracts and invoices, etc) to ensure that value procurement codes, signatures, prices, services, and receipts are complete and accurate.
GL-07: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
GL-07:
- Experience using and understanding procurement terminology and inventory account codes relating to an computerized automated system.
- Experience includes knowledge of various procurement activities and various inventory methods to maintain accountability of assets.
- Experience gathering information on requests for proposals and experience with identifying discrepancies between inventory and physical property.
- Experience discussing procurement actions with vendors and preparing disposal schedules for excess property.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience:
GL-05 and GL-07: Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications to successfully perform the duties of this position as described above.
If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.

In order to be creditable under this provision, superior academic achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled.
If you are selected for this position and qualified based on education (i.e. basic education requirement and/or substitution of education), you will be required to provide an OFFICIAL transcript prior to your first day on duty.
