Duties
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the FAA Logistics Center maintains consistency in processes and systems used by Production Controllers at the FAA Logistics Center. Serves as the representative on all issues common to the Production Control function by performing multiple, varying and complex assignments under limited direction from a manager. Schedules, coordinates and facilitates regularly scheduled COE/PC meetings where Production Controllers or COE/PC Representatives collaborate to initiate, revise, and implement common processes for Production Controllers that are consistent with FAA Logistics Center policies, business rules and the latest operational environment. Prepares and disseminates COE/PC meeting agendas and minutes.
Develops, coordinates and/or conducts training for Production Controllers and initiates and/or review enhancements to systems used by the Production Controllers. Provides input to management in the development and implementation of FAA Logistics Center policies for issues relating to the Production Control function. Disseminates information to other Production Controllers concerning changes in work procedures, upcoming meetings, training, or other events of which the Production Controllers should be aware. Prepares or assists in the coordination of suspense, action items, and maintains documentation of consistent processes with the Production Control function. Writes white papers and other briefing documents for management review to escalate issues identified by the COE/PC. Maintains COE/PC work instructions, information notices, meeting minutes and related reference material.
Coordinates with other functional groups and COEs to resolve issues which are cross-functional in nature. Serves as the Production Control representative at the CFWG meetings. Participates in other workgroups and teams within the FAA Logistics Center, which have a direct impact on the Production Control function.
Proactively identifies probable causes of process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement to the Production Control processes. Performs data analysis to monitor and measure process performance. Reviews consolidated responses for process improvement from COE/PC Representatives and takes appropriate actions but refers to managers and professionals who are more experienced for problems which require their attention.
Applies experience and advanced knowledge of repair and fabrication Production Control activities to plan and conduct assignments for projects and programs. Assignments frequently require knowledge of, and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines. Acts as the primary point of contact for the FAA Logistics Center to provide advice and guidance on the development and application of policies and procedures related to the Production Control function.
Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time. Identifies, plans, and organizes available resources to accomplish assignments, projects, and other work activities. May identify and request additional resources, as needed.
Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments but allow considerable discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach(es) or recommend new approaches. Resolves most problems and work issues without the assistance of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Refers to managers and professionals who are more experienced problems that require their attention. May help them develop and recommend solutions for Production Control functions.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-H (FG/GS 12-13) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, FV-G (FG/GS 10-11). Specialized experienceis experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized Experience: Experience identifying probable causes of process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement to the Production Control processes; performing data analysis and measuring process performance.
