About the Position:
The Program Analyst (Plans) position is for G5 Headquarters Directorate Plans Division, Europe Plans Branch located in Wiesbaden, Germany

Duties
- Provide advice in the development of inputs for Army strategic posture, plans, and policies for peace, and transition to war for the European Theater.
- Assist in the development of position papers for groups such as: Commanding General (CG), USAREUR-AF (or higher commanders) on NATO, EUCOM, HQDA, and/or JCS staff plans, programs, and/or policies.
- Determine priorities for allocation of equipment to maintain readiness and sustainability objectives in the Theater.
Conditions of Employment

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) coordinate the development of plans and long-range goals regarding employment of military personnel in contingency operations and campaigns for serviced functions to meet organizational goal(s); 2) participate in planning teams to determine warfighter requirements and future plans to include their associated impact on posture, missions, goals, and objectives; AND 3) analyze higher level contingency planning guidance while coordinating military decision making process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
