The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado is searching for a Program Manager for Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability to support SYD 85 (NH-1101-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).
Description:
As the Program Manager for the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) program, you will be at the forefront of pioneering and delivering sustainable joint warfighting capabilities to defend national and allied interests in the contested space domain. This role involves:
Strategic Program Leadership: Directing all contractual, financial, and technical aspects of a state-of-the-art program characterized by substantial uncertainty, risk, and complexity. You will develop and implement innovative acquisition strategies and management plans for projects with no existing precedent, ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of program cost, schedule, performance, and supportability requirements.
Integrated Team Management: Leading and coordinating a multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Team composed of military, civilian, and contractor specialists in engineering, contracting, manufacturing, and logistics. You will establish key management controls, such as milestones and performance indicators, to monitor progress and enable the early detection and resolution of emerging problems.
Executive-Level Representation: Serving as the program's primary representative at executive levels within the government and to industry partners. This includes delivering high-level briefings to senior leadership on program status, accomplishments, and challenges, and skillfully negotiating and resolving controversial issues to influence future acquisition policy and ensure mission success.
Technical and Innovative Oversight: Acting as a functional and technical expert who develops, integrates, and implements solutions to diverse and highly complex problems. You will analyze interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity, developing and defending recommendations to solve critical challenges and guide the program through all phases of the acquisition cycle.

You possess an unparalleled command of the policies, regulations, and strategic initiatives governing the Department of Defense (DoD), and you have a proven track record of applying this knowledge to navigate and conquer the most demanding program challenges.
Acquisition Mastery & Strategic Execution: You are an expert practitioner skilled in orchestrating the complex interplay of engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, and manufacturing. Your ability to plan, organize, and direct these critical functions is second to none, enabling you to drive programs from conception to delivery with precision and strategic foresight.

- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Must exhibit a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee and adapt to the impact of changing technology and administrative processes
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.
- This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 20 days per year.
- PCS / Incentives are not authorized.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
- This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee is expected to meet the functional area certification requirements within the timeframe range of 1 - 5 years from appointment date into the position.
