Duties
The incumbent will independently to provide administrative, clerical, and technical support for the VISN 4 Consolidated Human Resources Office, with additional responsibilities related to VISN functions like managing comprehensive programs, action items, coordinating correspondence, performing timekeeping, TMS administration and a variety of related administrative and technical functions in support of the Consolidated VISNHR Office. Much of the work received from outside the office, such as action items from Central Office and requests from Congressional Offices include an externally determined deadline. There are typically multiple assignments received at one time, many with established deadlines determining their priority. The incumbent ensures the work is acted on in a prompt manner and sets a deadline. The deadline set will ensure there is sufficient time to review the documents, provide edits, and ensure the action item is complete or the document is signature ready to meet the external deadline. The incumbent must be able to write in a clear, professional, business style. Perform office duties using a multitude of software applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, HRsmart. They must have competency in the sophisticated handling of high profile and complex interactions, to include Veteran patients, Congressional offices, and VA Central Office.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
