DISA is seeking energetic & talented Contract Specialists to join the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization. Positions are located at Scott Air Force Base, IL (approx. 25 miles east of St. Louis, MO).

Duties
- Procurement of information technology supplies and services, long haul telecommunications, commercial satellite communications and/or facility enhancements for DISA and non-DISA mission partners.
- Collaborate with mission partners on the preparation of complete acquisition packages.
- Prepare and issue solicitations.
- Evaluate proposals and quotes.
- Administer contracts and orders.

Qualifications
Basic Education Standards for positions in the 1102 series:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited education institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
Education Exemptions: The education requirements listed above apply only to individuals entering DoD 1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current DoD employees or Armed Forces members, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000, are exempt from meeting this requirement. Failure to provide SF-50 or career brief (for Armed Forces members) dated prior to October 1, 2000 will result in disqualification (this includes DISA employees).Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application. Specialized Experience:
For the GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service, Military, or Private Sector.
Your resume MUST demonstrate experience reviewing contracts or other business agreements and/or analyzing pricing arrangements.
For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service, Military, or Private Sector.
Your resume MUST demonstrate experience reviewing contracts or other business agreements and experience developing or analyzing applicable terms and conditions.
For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service, Military, or Private Sector.
Your resume MUST demonstrate experience negotiating contracts or other business agreements, administering applicable terms and conditions, and addressing contractor or business partner performance.
Candidates must describe how their experience meets the specialized experience requirement within the body of their resume.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
For the GS-09 Position, you may substitute education for specialized experience: You must have completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree.
NOTE: To qualify for GS-1102 positions on the basis of graduate education, graduate education in one or a combination of the following fields is required: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
For the GS-11 Position, you may substitute education for specialized experience: You must have completed at least three full years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
NOTE: To qualify for GS-1102 positions on the basis of graduate education, graduate education in one or a combination of the following fields is required: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
For the GS-12 Position: There is no substitution for experience at this grade level.
