SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
For the GS-09: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-07] in the Federal service. This experience includes all of the following:
- Writing grammatically correct documents, including letters, research papers and/or contracts.
- Providing positive written, verbal and in-person customer service experience.
- Performing various research.
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
OR
Combination: A combination of specialized experience and graduate education that together meet the requirements of this position.
For the GS-11: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-09] in the Federal service. This experience includes all of the following:
- Development and administration of contracts or agreements that involve the ability to write binding technical documents between parties.
- Multi-tasking on several types of contractual projects that involve researching, analyzing, and writing technical documents, and demonstrates positive written, verbal and in-person customer service experience.
- Working with the public and developing working relationships with internal and external customers.
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or LL.M., if related.
OR
Combination: A combination of specialized experience and graduate education beyond the first two years of graduate study that together meet the requirements of this position.
For the GS-12: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-11] in the Federal service. This experience includes al of the following:
- Development, negotiation and administration of contracts or agreements that involve the ability to write binding technical documents between parties preferably in the electric power industry.
- Multi-tasking on several types of contractual projects with various deadlines that involve researching, analyzing, and writing technical documents, and demonstrates positive written and verbal customer service experience.
- Researching a variety of legal and contractual subjects preferably related to the utility industry.
- Working with the public, developing working relationships, and negotiating with internal and external customers.
