Summary

Serves as the Director of the WESU Quality Program & is responsible for overseeing & managing the WESU Quality Management Program. Responsible for maintaining compliance with accreditation standards with respective various accreditation organizations. Communicates with Leadership & the Governing Body to ensure that the quality assessment, performance improvement, occupational health & safety & infection prevention and control programs are occurring in all departments. Reports directly to the CEO

Duties

  • Serve as the Quality Program Director on accreditation, quality assurance and performative improvement and risk management.
  • Responsible for the Control of Documents and Records that demonstrate compliance with accrediting organizations.
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, adjusts priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • Work in collaboration with the Medical and Dental Home Committees to assure Patient Centered Medical Home certification is maintained.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Individual Occupational Requirements
Education
Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Implementing and sustaining a Medical-Clinical Quality Improvement Program to meet standards for respective national accrediting bodies and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Accreditation Standards. Developing processes to improve the delivery of patient care, both collaboratively and independently. Determine short-or-long term goals and strategies to develop continuous quality improvement methodologies.

Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. IHS may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.

Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized. At least a 6 month service agreement will be required.
