Summary

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is Vicenza, Italy. This position is located at NAF Support.

Duties

  • Performs limited/routine quality assurance studies or assists with full-scale studies.
  • Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of quality assurance programs, policies, and methods.
  • Assists with comprehensive reviews, special studies, and selective internal examinations of DFAS Texarkana functions pertaining to commercial accounts, disbursing, travel, accounts receivable, and various subsidiary accounts.
  • Assists in the analysis of reports received including reports produced by accounting and payroll automated systems and helps in the preparation of recommendations to the branch chiefs on actions required.
  • Coordinates with supervisor the implementation of policies and regulations for the division. Initiates requests for changes to regulations where the need is detected in the course of quality reviews.

Qualifications

1. Progressive work experience, which demonstrates an acquired knowledge of the theories, principals, practices and techniques of performing investigations and studies as described above.

2. Must have knowledge of double-entry accrual method of accounting demonstrated through work experience or education that reflects ability to perform audit assignments.

3. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.

4. Experience in word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
