Duties
Helping the FamCamp manager and other Recreation Aids do the Day-to-Day operations of FamCamp. The cleaning of RLU's (mobile homes) to include the bathrooms, toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, kitchens, dishes, carpets, furniture, beds, and linen. Be able to use vacuums and carpet cleaners. To use cleaning agents correctly to get the rental trailers clean and ready for the next patrons. Be able to help run the office answering phone. To be able to pass out any mail or packages to patrons. To help ensure all the rules are being followed by the patrons and or guest.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of outdoor recreational facilities including Parks, Pools, Fam Camp, RV Storage, and Equipment Rentals including periodically opening or closing facilities. Verifies customer and guest eligibility; schedules outdoor recreation equipment and areas for use; answer the phone/take messages and provide information about facility operation. Operates digital point of sales system, cash register, makes change, and sells new and used items. Provides customers with pertinent information about outdoor recreation programs including on and off base recreation opportunities. May occasionally tow outdoor recreational equipment to off base sites. Responsible for cleaning work and customer areas to include picking up trash, empty trash containers, sweep/mop floors, clean restrooms/locker rooms, and rental equipment. Demonstrates safe operation of equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities including bicycles, rafts, kayaks, canoes, motor boats, lawn and garden, and bounce castles; inspects, test, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains outdoor recreation facilities and equipment; issues and receives equipment; lifts and loads recreational equipment onto trailers, vehicles, and storage racks. May operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specified standards. May work a rotating shift to include early morning, nights and weekends; may be assigned to work at multiple work sites. Maintains routine reports and/or performs clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties. May operate a computer and cash register, receive payments and make change. Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned. Skills and experience with digital point of sale systems is highly desirable. Must have the ability to operate vans and trucks with manual transmissions in all weather conditions. Must possess a current state driver's license. This is a Drug Tested designated Position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must be able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
