Qualifications
(1) Work experience directing one or more recreation programs as described above.
AND
(2) Completion of the requirements for a Bachelor's degree in the program area to be managed
OR
(2) Experience that provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and assessment/questionnaire. A copy of all supporting documents must be submitted at the time of application.
Education
If using education to meet the qualification requirements transcripts MUST be uploaded with your application packet in order to be considered eligible. Failure to upload complete and legible transcripts may result in an ineligible rating.
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (http://www.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/).Failure to provide all of the required information as stated in the vacancy announcement may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating.
