You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
1. Translating complex scientific results into actionable plans to improve victim recovery from sexual assault, deter offenders, reduce the impact and prevalence of sexual violence, and inform a variety of agency activity to enhance victim care and assistance. Applying expert knowledge of the psychological principles, theories and uses of research design, assessment methods, survey methodology, human behavior change, and integration of new findings into prior research;
2. Applying a variety of analytical methodologies in order to conduct assessment projects, oversee studies, and design metrics to assess sexual assault prevention, response, and other related topics at the national or international level;
3. Collecting and conducting analyses on data directly extracted from a variety of sources. Ensuring that results are replicable, reliable, and following accepted scientific standards;
4. Developing and executing a process for the systematic review, collaboration, analysis, and dissemination of sexual assault related data and research within and throughout the Department of Defense and/or the military Services. Drafting, assessing, and updating research agendas or similar documents to better align organizational research in a military or federal setting;
5. Managing projects through various phases to completion. Defining and articulating projects in Project Plans, contractual Statements of Work, and/or other types of documents intended to organize and deliver work products.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 0180 series:
- Clinical psychology: For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required.
