Conditions of employment
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- The employee will be required to take a drug test.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- This position is INDEFINITE NTE 24 months, with possible extension up to 60 months, and permanent potential. If already an onboarded Title 5 Permanent Federal Technician with Indiana Army National Guard, tenure status remains.
- The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; comp-time and/or overtime may be required.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial vehicles to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to:
- Skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately;
- Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material;
- Skill in presenting formal training presentations and briefings;
- Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats.
AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 12 months experience at the GS-11 level with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying experience could include: Independently planning, programming, budgeting, allocating and executing funds associated with organizational programs; OR reviewing, coordinating, and monitoring the Master Cooperative Agreement for assurance of proper obligation and expenditure of funds; OR identifying deficiencies or areas requiring improvement and recommending corrective action and/or initiating investigation to determine cause of deficiencies; OR developing revised policies and procedures for implementation and establishing specific goals and milestones for which projects can be implemented for financial functions; OR providing advice and serving as financial consultant to management on diverse analytical projects related to training operations, budgeting strategies and techniques, resource distribution, program priorities and/or forecasting or long-range planning; AND Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is the final approval for all ETP waivers. If approved, the memorandum will be returned to you and then submitted with your application.
