Duties
Performs first-level supervisory functions over the back and front of house (BOH) administration, including but is not limited to, Club Operation Assistants, Clerks, Administrative Specialists, Cashiers, Cash Accounting Clerks, Janitor Foreman, and Janitors. Supervising includes the following: training, scheduling, assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, appraises performance, counsels assigned personnel, recommends personnel action, and mentoring employees.
Responsible to assist in the economic and efficient operation of the club, which includes facility maintenance, special events, and recreational gaming. May assist on a non-recurring basis in the economic operations of food services, bar services and catering for special events, conducting research into and developing plans of actions and milestones for special events, developing marketing plans and submitting marketing request, performing adequate research and planning to ensure special events are professional, timely and fill the needs of club patrons. In the absence of the Clubs General Manager, the incumbent could be responsible for all aspects of the entire club.
Assists Clubs General Manager with the preparation of annual activity operational budget, other reports and documents. Maintains records and files. May schedule employees, review work in progress, and recommends changes and corrections as necessary. Reviews the financial status of the assigned activity and recommends changes considered necessary. Maintains and enforces security funds to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud waste and abuse. Ensures compliance with club's policies, regulations, and controls. Ensures that all cost controls and cash handling procedures are maintained at all times.
Establishes, reviews, and evaluates purchase of supplies, equipment and materials. Plans, organizes work and manages internal resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Assists the Clubs General Manager in preparing financial plans, budgets, inventories, cost controls, and related records and reports.
Oversees the Army Recreational Machine Program (ARMP) operations. Assists the Clubs General Manager in ensuring the overall facilities are in good repair and in developing plans to refresh, and when necessary, remodel all or part of the club facilities. Oversees all club janitorial functions to include, but not limited to, equipment maintenance, period deep cleaning and ensures the club maintains a high-level overall appearance.
Effectively supports the Marine Corps Equal Employment Opportunity policy, and ensures compliance with fire, safety, security, sanitation, and other environmental issues. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take appropriate action. Maintains and enforces security for MCCS funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment, and property to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste, and abuse.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
