About the Role

As a Radiology Appointment Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive timely and coordinated care within the Radiology Service at the VHASLC Medical Center. You will manage the scheduling of complex radiological procedures, coordinating necessary resources and services to guarantee that each appointment runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to review clinic utilization and optimize scheduling practices.
  • Schedule initial and follow-up appointments, handle emergency add-ons, and manage patient transfers as needed.
  • Ensure that all relevant medical data is prepared for clinicians prior to patient visits.
  • Maintain comprehensive computer records, manage supplies and budgets, and support program staff with essential administrative tasks.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and medical staff.

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Six months of relevant clerical or office experience, or one year of education beyond high school, or a combination of both.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical healthcare process knowledge.
  • Experience in managing clinic operations and patient flow efficiently.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative healthcare duties.

Preferred Experiences

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience in Clinical Video Telehealth and scheduling across multiple platforms.
