To qualify at the SV-G (GS-11) grade level: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-F (GS-9) in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all the following:
- Experience applying laws, regulations or practices pertaining to federal real estate leasing; and
- Presenting material gathered from diverse sources and disciplines in a clear and effective manner to professional work groups and others; and
- Assist in preparing and reviewing federal real estate management reports/records or documents.
OR
Education may be substituted for specialized experience: Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or have successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
OR
Have a combination of graduate education and specialized experience that when combined together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
To qualify at the SV-H (GS-12) grade level: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-G (GS-11) in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all the following:
- Experience applying laws, regulations or practices pertaining to federal real estate leasing; and
- Experience preparing and reviewing federal real estate management reports/records or documents: and
- Gathering, evaluating and interpreting data to arrive at valid conclusions and offer meaningful recommendations.
To qualify at the SV-I (GS-13) grade level: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-H (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all the following:
- Experience developing laws, regulations or practices pertaining to real estate leasing and real estate transitions; and
- Experience developing federal real estate management reports/records or documents; and
- Experience analyzing and evaluating information pertinent to real estate transactions and/or real estate leasing.
Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
