Specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Must have the ability to operate cash register and provide proper change to patrons.
- Must have knowledge of the basic purpose of the facility, as well as a working knowledge of rules and regulations of the bowling facility.
- Must be able to meet and deal effectively with the authorized patrons of varied rates, ranks and backgrounds.
- Must be able to work in a sometimes-stressful environment as this position is the first line contact with patrons, also must have the ability to answer questions and give directions during extremely busy times.
- Must be able to exercise good judgment in applying will established policies and procedures.
- Incumbent receives general instructions from the supervisor. Work is performed independently; however, supervisory assistance is available when difficult or unusual situations arise.
- Work is periodically checked for adherence to established procedures, rules and regulations.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
