Duties

  • This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level as described in PD #AK008 for the Recreation Assistant.
  • Completes a prescribed agenda of formal/informal classroom and on-the-job training and self-development as set forth in the individual Training Development Plan.
  • At management's request, the incumbent may be non-competitively promoted after one year of satisfactory performance provided the target position guide is classifiable
  • In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Assists in planning, conducting, and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. May provide work guidance to other staff.

  • Ability to work the Core hours of 0600- 2100. Hours of operation are subject to change based upon customer demand or programmed activities.
  • Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities.

Qualifications

NF-01 Standard Qualifications:
No work experience required.
Must have a current and valid Driver's License

NF-02 Standard Qualifications:
Work Experience which involved dealing with the general public.
Must have a current and valid Driver's License

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differential
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
