Summary

Serves as a Lifeguard Trainee in the Aquatics Department of the Hale Koa Hotel.

This position will remain open until filled with a first cutoff date of 18 February 2024 for employment consideration. Additional lists will be pulled after this first cut-off date at the request of the hiring manager.

Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered.

Duties

This is a training position for a certified Lifeguard.

Under this position you will be able to obtain within 30 days certifications for:
-Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS);
-American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional;
-CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED);
-First Aid.

Conditions of Employment

Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify) check
One year probationary period may be required
A physical examination is required
Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation.
Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and various hours of the day and week when required.

Qualifications

1. Must be able to swim.
2. Must be able to participate in the lifeguard certifications.

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
