Duties

  • Under close supervision, performs a variety of simple, routine duties in a recreation or recreational sports program.
  • Prepares sports and other recreational areas for games or events.
  • Duties may include setting up equipment such as soccer nets, game boards, or accessories such as bats, balls, or racquets; marking fields with flags or chalk lines; or assisting with participant check-in/registration.
  • May serve as a scorekeeper, game monitor, clock operator, or helper to coaches or recreation leaders.
  • Performs other closely-related duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Parental/Guardian Consent Statement (if under 18 years of age).
  • May require light physical effort.
  • Involves working indoors and outdoors.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-16K.
  • Subject to favorable adjudication of Installation Records Checks (IRC) and FBI fingerprint checks in accordance with DoDI 6060.04 and DoDI 1402.05.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

These positions are:

  1. CYS Youth Workforce WPP Position is temporary not to exceed 12 weeks from the effective date of employment, and up to 10 guaranteed hours per week.
  2. Effective start date 1 APRIL 2025
  3. Not to exceed 10 hours per week.
  4. Located at various CYS Services Facilities within USAG Humphreys and
  5. Is funded by the Installation Management Command, G9, Youth Workforce Preparation Program (WPP).
The WPP focuses on Youth career development through a developmental program designed to provide on the job work experience and a training plan that include a website for the participants to maximize the career exploration experience. The website offers an interest survey where participants may learn about different careers that match their current interests and talents. Participants will also have an opportunity to identify additional training or college requirements for the different careers they may have an interest in exploring. Overall, the WPP will provide participants with support and guidance in improving their employability skills.

The Job Fair is held Wednesday, 5 February, and Thursday, 6 February 2025, at Parent Central Conference Room (Room L215 at Maude Hall) above Quiznos on the 2nd floor from 1500 - 1800 KST.
