Job Description (Please follow all instructions carefully)

Summary

This position is located at River Cove Community Center in support of the Bingo operation at NAS Jacksonville. The purpose of this position is to perform the various duties involved in working a bingo program.

Duties

  • Assists in set up of bingo area by arranging tables, cards and bingo equipment to ensure equipment is set up.
  • Checks patrons' bingo cards for valid bingos.
  • Performs duties as paymaster ensuring correct amount is paid to valid patrons.
  • May prepare DAR's and event sheets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures that patrons are authorized to play or have been sponsored to play.
  • May explain game rules.
  • Sells bingo card, collects and accounts for cash received from patrons.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

  • Must reside within a 50 mile radius of 32212 at time of applying.
  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • Must have current CPR/First Aide certification or be willing to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Must have salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate possess the following:

Maturity to exercise control over a large group of people.

Composure in a fast paced sometimes-stressful environment.

Accuracy to make change and handle large amounts of Bingo cards and money.

Ability to reconcile cards sold.

Availability to work; days, nights, weekends and holidays as the bingo program operates in non-traditional business hours.

Education

Minimum High School or GED diploma is preferred.

- Position is a non-critical, sensitive position requiring access to IT II system and/or access to PII an access, National Agency Check investigation (ANACI) is required via the SF 86 security form.
