This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours). Hours are not guaranteed. Flex employees are not eligible to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.

Clarification from the agency

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties

Opens and/or closes facilities by locking/unlocking doors and windows, and assuring security system is operable. Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users.
Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits. Pre-checks and prepares equipment for customers, explains use, and monitors proper usage.
Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor. Arranges furniture and equipment for various types and sizes of events; puts up and takes down special event decorations.
May assist in conducting event. Cleans recreation equipment, supplies and facility area. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment.
Prepares work order for maintenance which cannot be completed by self-help. Policies interior and exterior areas of building and grounds and performs general housekeeping to make facilities/playing fields/pools/outdoor courts ready for use.
Monitors inventories, number and condition of items on hand. Coordinates with program staff to ensure adequate equipment is available. Inspects equipment when turned in and collects pre-set fees for damages.
Tests mechanical equipment for serviceability after each use. Removes damaged or unusable equipment from inventory. Maybe required to drive a motor vehicle as needed.

Conditions of Employment

Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights and weekends.
Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
The dual compensation guidelines DO NOT apply to this position. All GS and NAF employees whether fulltime or part time are eligible to apply for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to performs the duties described above.
Must have and retain a valid drivers license.

PCS Costs:

Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials:

This is a pay-banded position.
Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

Incentives and bonuses:

Incentives will not be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances and Differentials:

Overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
