Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service in a fast paced environment to ensure all customers and co-workers are treated respectfully. Be an enthusiastic problem solver.
- Ensure all certifications stay current and attend all required courses and in service training required by Fort Bliss and MWR.
- Manage staff according to availability, schedules and shifts to provide the best coverage and budget intentions according to season, events, and daily operations.
- Help with the planning and execution of weekly and monthly in-service trainings.
- Take immediate response on all maintenance needs by notifying the supervisor or pool operator on duty or calling in a work order if needed and document in logbook.
Conditions of Employment

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Continuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period. Incumbent is required to follow environmental safeguards and wear personal protective equipment.
- May be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirements.
- Work hours may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty.
Qualifications

**Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess the following certificates:
- American Red Cross "Lifeguard" certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification).- American Red Cross
"Cardio-
-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer" (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates (CPR) Certification).When facilities use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the following is required:- American Red Cross "Automated External Defibrillator" (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates AED certification.- American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration" certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates Oxygen Administration certification
Best Qualifications:
1. Must have at least one (1) year experience as a lifeguard in an aquatic environment.
2. Must have or be willing to obtain Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) within one (1) year.
