Duties
Incumbent is assigned to USNSE Madrid. Incumbent performs and/or assists in the operation of the recreation activities. Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying and understanding of the interest and needs of program participants. Typical assignments may include: establishing schedules of events; applying rules and regulations in supervising assigned youth participants in indoor and outdoor activities; scheduling and conducting tours and field trips. Helps to plan and coordinates details of recreational activities and maintains related supplies. Assists in planning, scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants. Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations.
Performs other related duties assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess:
* Two years of combined experience related to customer service and/or recreation is preferred.
* Successful completion of 2 years of study that included at least 12 semester hours in courses related to recreation (e.g., basic psychology, group dynamics, physical education, arts and craft s) may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
* Ability to organized, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
* Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and methods of procedure used in organizing, planning and conducting all types of activities

Education
