Duties
- Plans, schedules, organizes and implements outdoor activities such as but are not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, trips, skeet shooting, parks, ranges, mountain climbing and overnight recreational trips.
- Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses.
- Researches, plans and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas.
- May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5- year plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. OR Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.
Highly Qualified: Possess work or educational related experience in conducting classes/trips in the activities listed (kayaking, canoeing, boating, archery shooting, shot gunning, hunter education, biking), must possess at least four out of seven activities to be considered.
Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications & Highly qualified criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly qualified list.

Education
Bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.
