Summary
Who May Apply? US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of CHIEVRES Air Base, Belgium (not ordinarily resident in Belgium). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than Belgium. Non-US Nationals must have resided in the US or US Territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
This position is located at the USAG Benelux, DFMWR, Outdoor Recreation Program, Chievres AB, Belgium.
Duties
Plans, schedules, organizes, and implements outdoor activities for USAG Benelux.
- Activities include but are not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, trips, skeet shooting, parks, ranges, mountain climbing, and overnight recreational trips.
- Coordinates with installation and host nation officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses.
- Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment.
- Researches, plans and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas. Prepares standard operating procedures. May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5-year plan. Performs other duties as assigned.
