    Duties Summary

    This vacancy will be filled using the Office of Personnel Management's Direct-Hire Authority. Veterans' preference and traditional rating and ranking of applicants do not apply to positions filled under this announcement.

    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for providing senior level guidance, direction, and assistance on regional risk management activities within the area of responsibility for the Regional Office (RO).
    • Serves as technical advisor to the Director with primary responsibility for providing program analysis and evaluation in direct support of the RO functions and responsibilities.
    • Assists in the development and evaluation of RO goals and objectives for optimum utilization of personnel, facilities and funds.
    • Assists in determining employee assignments and provides program guidance and direction to the RO staff.

    Qualifications
    Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements including specialized experience and/or education, as defined.

    Specialized Experience for GS-13:
    • One full-time year of specialized work experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade in the Federal service that includes experience administering program policies, procedure and regulations applicable to agriculture, insurance, reinsurance, and/or risk management and their interrelationship with insurance management functions and practices.
