GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience in in planning and executing formal investigations of reportable and non-reportable mishaps involving personal injury accidents, property damage, and cases of occupational illnesses that cover a wide range of work operations and conditions related to explosives systems, missile systems and/or weapons ranges, Experience with reviewing of plans and specifications for new construction, major building alterations, and/or changes in installation equipment; and, monitors the project through completion to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate 36 months experience with reviewing of plans and specifications for new construction, major building alterations, and/or changes in installation equipment; and monitors the project through completion to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards. Experience performing safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures and standards applicable to a full range of complex safety and occupational health management responsibilities at a military aviation installation and requiring the planning, organizing, directing, operating and evaluation of a safety and occupational health program related to ground aviation, industrial and marine operations. Experience in performing aviation maintenance work processes and support equipment, airport ground operations, facilities and runway maintenance techniques, and industrial work processes.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.

Education
If you are using Education to qualify for this position, undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- safety or occupational health fields (safety,occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented byat least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety,occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics,chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology.
