This is a GG-05 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-05 duties for the "Entry" work category are at the "Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-05 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
1 year equivalent to at least GS-4
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of basic set of standardized rules, procedures, and operations that trypical require some amount of previous training or strict adherence to existing training cirrculum. Requires basic skills to operate equipment including computers and reproduction (copy) office equipment as well as ability to understand security procedures required to operate cameras.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

EDUCATION: 4 years above high school(except Reporting Stenographer)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Basic knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and NASICI 31-103 security procedures within a Secured Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
2. Basic understanding of the construction trades and the security procedures to used to ensure escorted visitors access only authorized spaces and only authorized work is performed.
3. Familiarity with the routine maintenance and construction operations along with general clerical and office functions and procedures.
4. Knowledge of Access Control Systems(ACS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and ability to successfully operate ACS and IDS on a daily basis in a secured facility.
5. Ability communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with a diverse group of individuals, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy especially during times of peak workload and high stress.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D:
1. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.???????
2. The work requires walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs and ladders and carrying light items, such as papers, books, and material for destruction. Work is performed in an office facility, in and around buildings, equipment rooms, warehouse facilities, and outdoors. Some exposure to temperature and noise extremes, smoke, wet floors, fumes, odors, and dust.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
