Duties

  • You will serve as security specialist within NAWCAD A131 working the information security; personnel security; industrial security; and security, education and training disciplines. May be responsible for one or a combination of these programs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) maintaining, analyzing and providing recommendations in relation to personnel security matters/cases;
2) maintaining the internal security program including responsibility for safeguarding classified documents,
3) conducting inspections and continuing checks to assure compliance with requirements within information security;
4) inspecting on-site contractor/facility locations to ensure compliance with contract requirements and good security practices;
5) preparing and providing training on a variety of security-related topics.
