DA-04:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or DA-3 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) comprehensive understanding of security policies and procedures concerning the proper protection, handling, and marking of unclassified and classified information, as well as Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral classified information;
2) analyzes, and researches complex security issues, identifies effective solutions, and communicates these solutions clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
3) developing and maintaining comprehensive Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and effective security practices across all levels of security;
4) establishes priorities, coordinates and leads a team of security specialists or other personnel on projects, programs, and initiatives.
DA-05:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) guiding, mentoring and training team members on application of security policies and procedures;
2) identifies and resolves highly complex and sensitive security issues, independently analyzing and researching these challenges, developing innovative solutions, and communicating these solutions effectively to all stakeholders;
3) leads the development and implementation of security strategies, independently establishing priorities, coordinating work across multiple projects, programs, and personnel;
4) conducts thorough self-inspections of secure facilities, identifying systemic vulnerabilities and developing long-term mitigation strategies, diligently addressing any identified findings and implementing corrective actions or mitigating risks;
5) serves as a technical authority and mentor, providing guidance and direction to other security personnel.
