Duties

• Administers the Information Security program for the organization. Administers DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and implements procedures for the classification and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information.
• Administers the Industrial Security program. Provides technical guidance in development of program requirements in conjunction with Contracting Officers to ensure all solicitations and contracts include the appropriate security clauses and language.
• Administers the Personnel Security Program. Enforces local procedures for initiating and processing requests for security clearance investigations for military and civilian personnel.
• Provides organization OPSEC guidance. Establishes policies and procedures for accomplishment of OPSEC activities. Applies information protection principles to effectively mitigate OPSEC vulnerabilities.
• Implements and administers the Physical Security Program. Implements DOD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and develops local procedures for assigned facilities.
• Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various Center organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with these organizations.

• Locations may be negotiated upon selection.
• This position may require drug testing and the candidate may be subject to passing a drug test upon selection
• This position is designated as a national security position.
• Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position
• This position meets the administrative exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.206).
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
• Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours.
• Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position.
• Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information
