I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex tasks including: 1) Performing productive tasks of a journey level Sheet Metal Mechanic, including repairing various types of fixed, rotary wing and trainer aircraft and aircraft components; 2) Developing training courses, curriculum and instructing courses as required; 3) Demonstrating proper trade techniques and practices, explaining safety precautions and giving instructions on the use of power tools, materials, measuring devices, precision instruments and safety devices; 4) Reading and interpreting blueprints, job orders, specifications and maintenance instructions; 5) Troubleshooting systems, disassembling components/systems, and determining required repairs; 6) Performing complete structural check of aircraft; 7) Maintaining training records and making recommendations for employee's training plan progress or additional training as appropriate; 8) Developing and revising lesson plans, developing and administering tests and maintaining progress charts; and 9) Conducting formal/informal or on-the-job training instructing others in the use of tools, nomenclature, theory of operations, repair procedures and test procedures of components, assemblies and air-frames associated with the Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic trade

I work under the supervision of a higher-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
